Background Information  

During the last five years, ALTRANS has formed a working relationship with the West Valley – Mission Advancement Foundation, where it is possible to make financial donations to the Foundation, to be used towards the ALTRANS Program.  The West Valley – Mission Advancement Foundation is a non-profit, 501c3 foundation whose main purpose is to provide needed programs and services to the 30,000 community college students in the district. 

ALTRANS has Transportation Service Centers located at West Valley College in Saratoga and Mission College in Santa Clara and provides trip reduction services to the entire West Valley Community.  These services directly benefit not only the students, staff and faculty at these two campuses, but also the thousands of residents that need to travel through these heavily congested areas.  By serving all commuters in this area, we benefit everyone.

How to make Financial Donations to the ALTRANS Program

Of course, any and all donations are always welcome.  Here is a suggested level of contributions: 

q       Safe Routes:  $20 - $49

q       Easy Streets:  $49 - $100

q       Brisk Ride:  $50 - $99

q       Free Flow:  $100 - $249  

q       Fast Track:  $250 - $499

q       Diamond Lane:  $500 - $999

q       Blue Skies:  $1,000 +

Personal Checks

• Write a check to “West Valley – Mission Advancement Foundation”

• Please write down the phrase “For the ALTRANS Program” in the memo portion of your check. 

• Please mail check to:  West Valley College

A tax receipt for all donations exceeding $250.00 will be mailed to you as proof of your donation to the Foundation and the ALTRANS Program within one week of receiving your donation.  A receipt for any donation under $200.00 is not needed for your tax purposes.
