ALTRANS has expanded its commute alternative knowledge to the employer sector. We offer a host of services for Employer Alternative commute program.

Services typically used by employers are:

Personal Trip Plans
ALTRANS staff will plan your personal trip on transit anywhere in the bay area. If you need directions, ALTRANS is there to serve you.

Transportation Centers
ALTRANS will establish an on-site transportation center where employees can have a Personal Trip Plan, receive transit information, schedules and the latest changes in commute alternatives.

Discount Transit Fee
Our staff will work with various transit agencies in the bay area to get your employee the least expensive fare available. We will also help the employer with pretax subsidy programs.

Shuttle Service
We can establish inter-campus shuttle service, bus, light and CalTrain shuttles and direct shuttles from certain locations.

Guaranteed Ride Home
A free ride home to employees who use transit, carpool, walk or bicycle to work. This service is mainly provided in case of an emergency or if something happens to your employee’s rideshare partner.

New Hire Orientation
We will provide all new hires information about your commute alternative program.

Special Events
ALTRANS will work with your company with promotion and staffing for special transportation events such as Bike-to-Work Day, Earth Day, Rideshare Week and the Spare the Air Program.

Incentive Programs
ALTRANS can develop incentive programs to encourage employees to use commute alternatives. Our staff will work with your company.

Additional Services
While ALTRANS can customize your program to YOUR needs, we can help you plan commute alternatives for preferred parking for car-poolers; bicycle parking, site expansion or additional transit centers anywhere you may need them.
